Tiny Big Top Games is born!

Tiny Big Top Games is born!

I have been dreaming of making a game for a long time now. It has somehow eluded me until recently that while working with code I have picked up a lot of the skills required to give it a go.
The name comes from another passion of mine which is Circus. I find it (similarly to game dev) an amazing creative outlet, where there are no rules other than those we impose on the craft.
The tent is:

  1. Tiny - because I mean to focus on smaller experiments rather than a grand project. In the spirit of TinyExperiments - an approach where you spread your net wide, rather than obsess over perfection of one project.
  2. Big - because the project are by no means small in size. Writing this I am mid way through making a real time tactics game, with full cross platform determinism support, so you know... need to working on managing scope creep a bit.
  3. Top - because they are one of the toppings of my everyday cake! Working with Godot, Bevy and Ebitengine has reignited my passion for coding, I love doing that.
  4. Big Top - because I find circus equally as fun as games. They have both been great relievers of the daily stress & providers of explosions of joy. Which is naturally what I would like my games to be for others as well.

What you can expect here is my journey through the world of game dev. There are plenty of people I look up in this space and I will surely mention them as well. We will start with engine choice consideration and the story of gamifying emergent behaviours.
Enjoy your stay!
